SendShield is an extension to Microsoft Office to automatically detect and remove metadata and hidden data found in e-mail and e-mail attachments. SendShield offers the fastest metadata scanner on the market, and the only scanner fast enough that it can background scan documents while you continue to compose your e-mail message.

When hidden data is discovered, SendShield provides a quick, easy-to-read summary of the discovered hidden data. The user can then either remove the hidden data automatically, without modifying the original document, or convert the document to PDF to quickly remove all remaining Microsoft Office Hidden data.

SendShield is designed for easy Enterprise deployment. With SendShield, IT administrators can control over 20 Group Policy settings to provide central control over their organization's metadata removal policies. IT can also control which settings are available to the users, and which settings must be done in accordance with central policy.
